72 Pin Memory Modules

72 Pin Memory Modules

72 Pin SIMMS or memory modules superseded the earlier 30 pin type, and were most common in 486 generation home computers. They were manufactured in capacities ranging from 4Mb upto 256Mb, the larger sizes are now quite rare, and although the length of a module is always the same, it is important to check height and width (some modules are double sided - have chips on both sides), some systems may not physically take multiple double sided modules.
