30 Pin Memory Modules

30 pin memory modules were used in the earliest mass production computer systems, the first were just 256K per strip and had pins, these modules were known as SIPS, later the first plug in and easily removable modules became popular - SIMMS. 30 Pin simms were available in sizes commonly from 1Mb upto 4Mb, in parity (9 bits) and non-parity (8 bits).
