Manufactured in the UK to military standards by Penny & Giles, used on a military computer unit, these are a superb quality high resolution trackball.
Contain lovely precision engineering when stripped down.
Penny & Giles part number was DS48587.
The ball is 1.5" diameter manufactured from hard black nylon, surrounded by a soft-ish black rubber mounting.
The supply is +5vdc, resolution is 800 edges per revolution and the output is TTL compatible square wave, 2 channels per axis displaced by 90 degrees, +- 85 degrees.
Physical dimensions are 60mm square by 24mm high, plus a further 17mm to top of the ball.
Connections are made by a standard 8 way molex type connection, which we will include if we have.
Comes with a copy of the original data sheet showing all connections etc.
