Manufactured to military specs by Elcom in the UK in the 1960's these are the old fashioned 'Painton' type of multi-stack rotary switch; 2 double pole wafers and configured with 10 positions, (so 4 pole 10 way) make before break.

With care it looks like it would be possible to disassemble the switch and remove the physical stop which determines the 10 ways, turning them into a 2 pole 20 way.

These were stripped from military frequency selectors which had little use, and have heavily gold plated contacts and stators.

As these have been removed from redundant equipment, the existing wiring will need to be removed before use, but as this switch originally cost over £200 these are a bargain and will give many more years of trouble-free use.

Standard 1/4" (6.3mm) shaft, the unit measures approximately 85mm in length overall (including the shaft which is 35mm) x 55mm across.
