These are the old fashioned Painton type of multi stack rotary switch, 6 wafers each of which is 2 pole, so 12 pole and 6 position.
The last wafer is enclosed in a screened can which has some gold plated through connectors and 4 Cambion 680pF military specification feed through capacitors mounted on it.
Manufactured to the highest specifications, heavily silver plated contacts, these have been removed from redundant military equipment, so the existing wiring will need to be removed before use, but as this switch originally cost over £200 these are a bargain and will give many more years of trouble free use.
Standard 1/4" shaft, the unit measures approximately 175mm in length overall (including the screened box) x 55mm across, with the box on the back being 60mm x 60mm x 30mm.
