These are an interesting item ! Great for experimenting and one of our most popular lines.
A module with a camera chip (Type Vision VV5402) built on to a small PCB, which takes 5Vdc in and gives a monochrome (black and white) composite video image out.
A simple lens like used in a webcam is probably needed to use as an actual camera, but the CMOS Video sensor alone has many useful applications.
The board is 30mm square and about 8mm total thickness.

The module we sell has a standard type 11 pin connector on it and when looking at the connector with the open part to the top i.e. where 'TOP' is printed on the module side of the PCB is at the top, the pins from left to right are:
1 & 2 Vcc (+5V)
3 No Connection
4 AVO (video out)
5 & 6 Gnd (also VGND)
7 is pin 36 floating
8 is pin 33 floating
9,10,11 all No Connection
