Details
Manufactured by Amphenol to military specifications specially for the Royal Navy, these are a premium quality 50 Ohm SO259 (so the female for a PL259) mounted in a heavy duty die-cast aluminium bulkhead housing.
They were originally manufactured as a termination point for wire antennas on ships.
The connector is a premium Amphenol silver plated (note the silver maybe tarnished but will come up shiny with a rub) and the die-cast housing is very heavy duty with 2 screw down lugs, a large cable entry and clamp ( will take RG8 and similar low loss coax) and in the opposite side to the cable entry is a 6mm hole which was intended as a wire antenna entry / in hole.
New and unused old stock, lovely and useful items, but to reiterate again the silver plated connector maybe tarnished.
Overall dimensions including the connector are 35mm long x 37mm high x 41mm across the mounting tab holes.
